I wanted to take some time to thank Robbie, Walt-Chad-Holden..aka "the commitee", Craig "Gordo" Gordon, SFVU, BatteriesPlus, Ashland Cafe, all the potential members of MRA in attendance today and whoever else I might be forgetting that made today a success. Some really great prizes were awarded mainly from SFVU(Sport Fishing Ventures Unlimited)/BatteriesPlus. SFVU's raffle was worth over $1200 in merchandise and a special thanks to BatteriesPlus (Nick) for their FREE raffling of a pretty expensive battery. That came as a surprise and was not part of the originally planned day, thanks Nick! It is a true testament to you and the business that you operate. MRA looks forward to a deeper relationship with your company in the years to come. Our goal together will be when one of our members have a need for batteries they come right to BatteriesPlus. I trust that all members realize these awesome benefits that the MRA has acquired this year.
If you attended the meeting today, you know that things got a little tense when Don brought up the banned Alabama Rig. PERSONALLY, I feel that the lure should be allowed when ONLY used with 2 hooks. I feel this way mainly because if Maryland Law allows it, it should be okay to use. That's just my personal opinion and truth is, I have never thrown the A-rig in my life, nor would I. In addition, I'm not upset or angry with anyone about the commitee's decision to ban the rig. That is why we have a commitee and I respect their decision. Maybe, it will be approved next year.
Anyway, I'am really excited about the tournament season ahead and as with every year in the past it will bring new and exciting things. I have a new partner, new side-imaging, new baits, new techniques, new rods and EVEN a new KVD tacklebag.....so you all better watch out!!! LOLOLOLOLOL
Let's all have a great year..........
