Congratulations to Matt Elliott & Steve Snider, (substituting for Victor Rini), for their first place finish at Loch Raven. Their 22.26 Lb. bag gave them a significant lead over the field on this tough fishing day. The team of Steve Allender and Mindy Clevenger took second place honors with an impressive limit totaling 19.08 Lbs. Third place was claimed by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater with a limit that weighed 18.71 Lbs. The Largemouth lunker, weighed 4.27 Lbs and was brought to the scales by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater. Finally, the team of Russell Brown and Tom Kobus claimed the Smallmouth lunker award with a 1.22 Lb. Smallmouth. Congratulations again to Matt, Steve S., Steve A. Mindy, Ron, Rob, Russell and Tom. Well Done!

Congratulations to the team of Don Kosdemba and Gary Gangi, for their first place finish at Liberty on 7/17. Don and Gary brought in a limit of eight fish with an official weight of 23.88 Lbs. The team of Waino Anderson and Ron Wolfe took second place with 21.40 Lbs, including the tournament lunker largemouth, which weighed 4.49 Lbs. Third place was claimed by the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater, with an official weight of 19.84 Lbs. On a day that saw very few smallmouths brought to the scales, The lunker smallmouth weighing 1.95 Lbs, was brought in by the team of Cribb & Denbow. Substitute angler Mike Bruening filled in for Ken Denbow for this tournament.

No surpise, DNR modified rules and provided options for slot limits for bass tournaments in these bodies.... after receiving much feedback. Of course they were or probably are still in jeopardy of losing big and elite tournaments due to the prior submitted rules. Regardless, at least their new "Option 2" is just good fish management.
