I have many, many bags of soft-plastics that haven't seen the light of day since I bought them. Some were "HOT" baits used years ago that turned out to be not so "HOT"! Some, looked much better on the shelf than on my hook. Some, I had buddies tell me how good they were catching fish for them but my fish didn't like them very much . . . I think you get my point.
I know alot of us get to the ramp early on tournment day and joke around for atleast an hour or so before blast-off. What if we had a small "flea-market" type scenario in the mornings before the tourney started. Where one guy could barter with another on some bags of baits, crankbaits or spinnerbaits, etc.??
After picking up some Pro-Staff positions in 2012 I can only throw certain Verticals. I have many bags of soft-plastics that I can't use now.
How cool would it be if another guy hated a bait that you loved and you hated a bait that he loved and you just swapped baits?
Could this work on tourney day or does anyone else have any ideas that we can run with?? Tks in advance . . . I think cabin-fever is getting to me.

Interesting idea Ian.

I know Craig has a list of web site ideas, but I believe an ongoing online swap meet would be very interesting. This would allow any of us to list our extra tackle and make swap offers to others who are listed. Could be an enormous draw for the website. (sorry Craig)
Fishing flea market.
Fishing flea market.
Here's an idea. How about a annual MRA fishermans flea market. It would be a way to get members together during the off season as well as a little recruiting. We also could charge for table space with the proceeds to benefit the club.
I would definitely be
I would definitely be interested in a FLEA MARKET. Just a thought that came to mind, I don't know about the rest of you but I never fish the day before a tourney. I think it would be really cool if we had a Sunday tourney and we all showed up at say Prettyboy the day before (Saturday) and held a FLEA MARKET. We could advertise it here on the site and by word of mouth. I think this would be a great way to attract some new members. I also dont know if we would be breaking any type of ridiculous laws that our state/local gov't might have??? The grassy picnic area on the left as you approach the ramp cirle would be a great place to do something like this and in all actuality we could just lay out blankets and put our stuff to sell/trade on the blankets. Also, obviously the CLASSIFIED section here on the MRA site is a great place to list what you have but may be a little less chance of unloading a bag or 2 of softplastics to just one guy. Let's really do this? How bout bringing some stuff to the MRA meeting? If some guys wanted to stay a little later after the meeting to buy or sell some stuff.
