Deja Vu All Over Again - Constantine and Elliott Win Again!

Continuing this record breaking season, Bill Constantine and Matt Elliott captured their 3rd of our 6 regular season MRA tournaments - this time at Loch Raven Reservoir on September 28th. This is the first time in the history of MRA any team has won 3 regular season tournaments. They capped this feat with the heaviest limit of 8 fish this year weighing 29.27 lbs. Once again finishing 2nd to this team despite a 24+ lb limit was the team of Rob Bertazon and Ron Broadwater with 24.66 lbs. Placing 3rd with a 21.64 lb. limit was the team of Chad Wisner and Leonard Wisner. Full Results
This 6th and final tournament provided additional intensity as it determined the (AOY) Anglers of the Year champions with a handful of teams within reasonable striking distance to capture the title. Further, it determined the top 11 teams qualifying to fish the season ending Tournament of Champions. With the weights in and points totalled, the 2nd place showing of Bertazon and Broadwater coupled with the 9th place of Larry Barger and Butch Wilson enabled Bertazon/Broadwater to claim the 2013 MRA AOY. This may have been one of the closest AOY races in MRA history with the top 5 teams finishing within 8 points of each other. See AOY Final Standings Another noteworthy record for 2013 was that not 1 but 6 teams broke 100 lbs with their total weight from the 6 regular season tournaments. You can do the math; thats averaging over 16 lbs./tournament. Congratulations to all who joined the "MRA Century Club"!
