With a huge bag weighing 27.76 lbs., the team of Tison and Martin easily captured the first Weekday Warrior Tournament of 2013 which was held at Liberty Reservoir. The team of Walker and Godwin captured another WW 2nd with 20.98 lbs. Alleanser and Crablitt took home 3rd place with 19.50 anchored by the tournament lunker - a largemouth weighing in at 4.56 lbs.
HELP! Due to the pounding thunderstorm that hit as some of the last contestants were weighing, some of the weights are a bit hard to decipher. Specifically, if team numbers 17-19 could report your total weights that would be appreciated. The stats from these tournaments as well as the regular season MRA tournaments are recorded and required to be reported to Md. DNR. Thanks for your assistance.
I just ordered and received this scale as a second to have onboard... This after the other I have was malfunctioning during the Weekday Warrior Tournament. (That issue was resolved with a few times of turning it on and off.). My normal MRA partner, whom I don't usually fish the WW tournaments with, does bring another scale for those tournaments so we have 2.
This new Rapala scale has these features that I like: touch screen, records up to 8 fish (sure 10 would be better), weighs to 1/100th, includes 8 numbered (small) floats that clip on (vs. puncturing clips) , lists total weight and comes with carrying bag with instructions sewn on bag. Check it Out!
Just in case you weren't aware of these, check out the state championships run by the (SAF) Student Angler Federation. many states have their own championship but Md.s is run in conjunction with others. Read about it here.
Big article on the front page of the Carroll County Times about the Shippensburg Fishing Club whom MRA sponsored via proceeds from the Weekday Warrior Tournaments. congrats to Kevin Hollasch and his teammates Jon Miller and Hunter Chamberlain.
