or did you mean Liberty? Never heard of any being caught in Prettyboy. Not that i do, but a bunch of club members sure catch a bunch of and big ones out of Liberty. Hopefully they'll chime in.
Every now and then, I talk to a friend of mine who works in the Freshwater fisheries department of the Maryland DNR to get some fishing information from him... A few years ago he told me this concerning Walleye in Prettyboy..
The DNR has been stocking 1000s of walleye fry in prettyboy for many years..(late 80s to the early 1990s). unfortunately none "seem" to survive to adult-hood..or at least they have never documented adults or year class reproduction in their electro-shocking or net seining surveys..(which doesnt prove a small population doesnt exist) The DNR hasn't been able to figure out the reason the walleye don't survive or grow and reproduce.
IN 2002 they took a different approach and stocked a large amount of "GROWN UP" walleye that they electro-shocked from LIBERTY...Liberty has a existing walleye fishery which reproduces quite well...They hoped that putting WILD grown up fish that already reproduce into prettyboy would help establish a future population of walleye...the amount of walleye that were taken from Liberty was NOT revealed... However the DNR claims that all the fish taken from liberty were shocked "south of liberty road" in a attempt to preserve the fishing population farther north... I caught a walleye around 5 lbs in Prettyboy in 2005..this catch is what made me ask Charlie about this... I caught the fish on the long point just above Beckleysville bridge while bass fishing. It is believed this was one of the fish taken from liberty...none of the liberty walleye that were released into Prettboy were tagged.(which boggles my mind)....so who really knows where this fish i caught came from.,,, I do not know at this time whether the walleye from liberty are reproducing now in Prettyboy..
...my tip would be to fish for them at LIBERTY.... They seem to be everywhere or "better put", they will show up anywhere in Liberty... I have caught them in literally ALL areas of the lake..sometimes i am amazed where they show up at... Sometimes as far NORTH as one can get and other times as far SOUTH as you decide to fish...and anywhere in-between.. that doesnt sound like much help, but its accurate....

then sit on top of them with a silver buddy.......vertical pump is key. 22 to 28 feet deep has produced the best for me.
