Liberty and Prettyboy Boat Permit
Applications Available: February 1
Renewal Processing: Begins third week of February
New Processing: Begins fourth week of February
1800 permits are available
There will be no walk-in sales.
To obtain a permit: Click http://www.baltimorecity.gov/Government/AgenciesDepartments/PublicWorks/... to download and print the application OR send a self-addressed, stamped, business-sized envelope requesting a Boat Permit Application to:

The boating season extends from March 1 through December 31 (Weather Permitting) between sunrise and sunset.

Loch Raven Reservoir Boat Permit
Boat launching and boat docking permits are offered prior to the season. These registrations and renewals will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on February 11th, 12th and 18th in the Fishing Center Office at Loch Raven. If you have any questions please call the center, Friday through Monday at 410-887-7692. Launching fees are $60.
Opening Day this year will be Friday, April 6th, 2011.

Loch Raven Boat Permit
It should be noted that only renewal launching and docking permits will be issued on Feb 11th, 12th and 18th for Loch Raven. People wanting to get a permit that did not have one in 2011 must wait until March 31st when the fishing center will open to sell the remaining permits. As always, you can call the fishing center at 410-557-7692 for more info.

I purchased a boat over the winter that had 2011 sticker. The title is now in my name so would I be considered a renewal or a new applicant? Thanks!!

Great question and i'm not sure of the answer and certainly wouldnt want to misspeak. Probably worth calling the fishing center which of course may not be open yet. 410-887-7692. I also see an email address on the letter i received which you could try. lrfish-rp@baltimorecountymd.gov
