The flyer, rules sheet and entry form for the Weekday Warrior Tournaments are now posted on the right side of the home page. We already have a team that has registered (and it's not me!). Please make certain you let all your fishing buddies know about these as they are open to any teams wishing to fish - not just MRA members.

Plus, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Shippensburg University FLW College Fishing Team.

I was searching the Internet for some old Bagley crankbaits when I found a new website for Bagley . www.bagleybait.com/     It is not yet up and running, but you can sign up for latest updates. We all have our favorite lures that are not made anymore. What is your favorite discontinued lure. Maybe someone reading this might have some of your favorites, and you might have some of theirs that you could swap or sell. It could be a way to get back that old favorite in your tackle box. We all enjoy our time on the water, whether fishing or just getting away from the daily grind.  One of the things I see most  is people unaware when passing another boat that is fishing. Maybe this might help. First slow down see what they are doing ,are they fishing towards the shoreline ,away from the shoreline, trolling-straight behind them or maybe with planer boards out to the sides of their boat. (usually yellow or orange plastic)- 25 feet or more to to each side attached with line. Or maybe the boat is stationary, fishing a marker buoy.( again usually yellow, orange or green.)  If you can't tell which direction they are fishing - when approaching you may want to say " what side would you like me to pass by."  This will make your day as well as theirs less stressful.

In today's Baltimore Sun I read a good article by Candus Thompson, in the business & jobs section about Tony Tochterman  of T.G. Tochterman & Sons. (1925 Eastern ave, Baltimore, MD). I love all the big box tackle stores as much as anyone, but do like to see local business's do well and support them when possible. Unfortunately we do not have many local tackle shops anymore due to the big box stores and internet purchasing as well as the high cost of doing business in today's economy. So next time you pass one of these tackle shops, stop in and see what they have to offer.
